The full itinerary...

Day 1: The magic begins at the picturesque Tom's Creek Nature Domes on Friday evening where you’ll get a quick tour of the space and be free to enjoy the evening at your own pace.

On Saturday morning you get to open your goodie bag, put on your new apron (to keep!) and be immersed in our favourite mediums.

Breakfast includes a continental breakfast, fruit and drinks.

To kick off the creative workshops we have a special pottery workshop with Dee. She will guide you in a collaborative session where you will dye clay with oxides, then marble the colours to create your own hand crafted vessel. You will connect with the earth, pinching and building something special. Your clay creations will take 2 weeks to dry then we will bisque fire, clear glaze, and fire them again. Your final piece will be ready to collect from The Seed Art School in 6 weeks or we can post out for a fee.

Lunch- You’ll have a delicious toastie and salad, potato chips and cookies. You will then have some down time to read a book, walk around the reserve, take a bath, enjoy the sauna, chat with new friends or all of the above!

Next up is our super star Cherie working with watercolours. She will guide you to a suitable location where you will paint en plein air, or paint in nature, using the beautiful landscape as your reference.

Happy Hour! Serving chips, dips, cheese, crackers, meats and sweets. Plus our favourite spirits!

You'll wrap up the creating on Saturday with a modern macrame wall hanging workshop. Aimee will guide you on finding a stick and knotting a plant hanger perfect to plant a native you found on the grounds. A variety of colourful cord will be available to choose from.

Dinner: Calzones & cocktails! We are so excited to make homemade calzones filled with all of your favourite toppings. The pizzas will be served with salad and a selection of our favourite spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.

To finish the day, you’ll be relaxed into a calm state with Vic who will guide you on a sound drum journey  You will already know her as she’s the one with magic hands giving massages from 4-7pm. Your choice of a 20min foot or shoulder and neck massage is included! We will have a time schedule available to book in during breakfast on Saturday.

Day 2: Sunday starts with a big breakfast complete with bacon and eggs, pancakes, yogurt, granola, fruits, croissants and toast.

Your first creative activity involves a nature walk to collect inspiration with Cherie. She will guide you on selecting inspiration and taking pictures to use in your design. You will then begin your lino cutting workshop where you’ll draw on lino and learn to carve your design into a rubber block like a pro. You’ll do a few test prints on paper then transfer your design using printmaking ink onto a calico bag or calico flag to hang when you get home.

Lunch- We will be serving our delicious pumpkin soup and cheese toasties baked fresh in the pizza oven. Yum! You will then have some down time to finish your projects, frame your artwork, read a book, chat with new friends or all of the above.

We will conclude our retreat with a mini exhibit showcasing all of your hard work. We will capture the moment with plenty of pictures and group hugs, until next time X.
